Banjo 052
~ Elderly Instruments ~
The Lone Star.
It has clean peghead lines, a Dobson style heel and a frailing scoop. Like
the others it has a laminated neck with colored veneers running up each side
of the center strip, for strength, but without laminations under the peghead
and fingerboard. The neck is Cherry. It has a 25.5” scale, a double
action truss-rod and Scalloped bone nut. Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard
and peghead overlay.
No inlays on
the peghead and one Lone Star at the 5th fret.
It has an integral wooden tone ring on
a 12” two-ply rim, 5-star tuning pegs with cream knobs. Pearl side dots, a
no-knot tailpiece and a Renaissance Head.

Testimonial
"I have my Lone Star #052! As a fiddler, I
searched the banjo world for an instrument that reflects the aesthetics of a
fine violin. I found the perfect fit in the Lone Star. The
subtle beauty of its wood and the warmth of its tone combine to make a truly
magnificent instrument. After seeing and hearing my Lone Star, my wife
was so impressed that she is ordering her own Chuck Lee Banjo--the Ovilla.
Chuck is indeed a Master Luthier.
Thanks.
